Description

Here is my Panther from Italeri washed and updated in a proper collage.

The kit itself:
First of all it is an old kit and have aged poorly compared to newer panthers from other companies.
It has not much options on how you want to build it so its very basic kit.

The good things with it is that its easy to build and fitting is good for the most part.
Not too many pieces either in this kit.

But its as I said very limited in how you can build it and cant move the gun at all.
The hull can be tricky to get together and hasnt that much of details when compared to newer models.
Also once built the hull and the lower hull will on the sides from certain angles reveal there is no inside, a big hole where you can see into the tank due to they never bothered to sculpture the part and just skipped it and hope no one will look on the underside of the tank.
Also if you want to wash the tank and weather it: It hasnt much details so not much panel lines or raised parts so it wont be as visible, compare it to my Revell panther and you see. The engine deck one could get a decent wash results from and the roadwheels.

Also it has no skirts or extra tracks etc included, in the collage on the last picture is what you get from the kit really.

I have been updating this kit and customising it to get it to look better, I added skirts and parts to it and only then it starts to look decent, the skirts is hiding the gap between the lower hull and the upper hull, which i can recommend.

Quite a difference between from when I built it for an year ago to today :)

I recommend this kit to starters of modelling or to those not much into proper models, to anyone who wants a good panther and detailed one I say: Stay long away from this one.
